• Does Pioneers assess an Administration Fee on donated funds?
Yes, Pioneers assesses a 10% fee on all donations with the exception of emergency relief donations which are charged a 3% fee. These fees help to cover services provided on behalf of the missionary such as receipting, postage, and payroll costs along with other administrative support.
• Can I send post-dated cheques?
Yes, Pioneers accepts post-dated cheques. The cheques are filed and held until the corresponding due date at which time they are banked with the next scheduled deposit.
• As a Canadian can I support a Pioneers U.S. missionary and receive a tax receipt?
Yes, Pioneers Canada receives donations made toward Pioneers US missionaries, issues you a Canadian tax receipt and transfers your support to our U.S. office on behalf of your missionary.
• Is Pioneers a member of the Canadian Council of Christian Charities?
No, currently Pioneers Canada has only an affiliate member with CCCC however we do make every effort to adhere to their qualification requirements and standards. At present we are looking into full membership status.
• What are your accountability standards and measures?
Pioneers Canada has yearly independent audits performed on our ministry and financial statements by McClurkin Ahier & Company LLP. These are available on our financials page or upon request by calling 519.268.8778. In addition, the Pioneers board provides regular oversight conducting semi-annual meetings with the Finance and Executive sub-committees convening twice per year in between the full board meetings.
