| In Country Missions (ICM) | Why ICM? | ICM - Stories |
Recognizing that a growing number of unreached peoples* are transitioning to Canada as immigrants and refugees, Pioneers, through the ICM focus, partners with local churches in mobilization, empowerment and prayer for teams of kingdom workers to be raised up to engage Diaspora peoples.

What this translates to is that Pioneers views the arrival of these least reached people as an opportunity to share the Good News with these whom we had to cross the ocean for in years past. Now we can minister freely without restriction and without a visa! Not only that, but the love of God compels us to share the greatest news—that "...God so loved the World..." Immigrants are coming to Canada at the rate of 300,000 each year. So, who are the major groups already among us?
Pioneers pursues placing and resourcing outreach teams in Canadian cities. Currently we have teams scattered across our nation—Moncton, Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Waterloo, London, Winnipeg, Calgary, and Vancouver. Our teams are divided into a Muslim track and a Non-Muslim track. Pioneers' vision includes expanding to cities like Ottawa, Windsor, Regina, Edmonton, Hamilton and Kitchener.
ICM missionaries train and mentor Christians for a compassionate outreach to these new neighbours, colleagues, and friends.
We carry out this task in active partnership with churches, individuals, and likeminded agencies.
Really the sky is the limit in how Christians can creatively connect and open opportunities to share Jesus or to nurture faith. Can't you picture yourself involved in some way? And age is no barrier—there is lots of room for young and old. Click to read a few true stories of how ICM workers are engaging the unreached around them.
