WE ARE ON THE GROUND...
As we are able, we are there for people who have lost everything. Our first priority is to find a safe place for them to live. That includes:
- Finding new homes
- Helping to pay the rent as families reestablish their lives
- Grief and trauma counseling
We pray for strength to walk alongside children, teens, women and men who have been shattered. In some cities, 85% of the buildings have fallen: schools, hospitals, apartment buildings, grocers, retailers – everything. People have lost their family, friends and neighbours. As the death toll rises, families grieve.
Pray for Arabic-speaking counsellors. Pray for a spirit of hope through God’s spirit to give encouragement, strength and wisdom to our team and partners who are working long hours under extremely difficult circumstances.
